So, the week of Thanksgiving kind of sucked. On the Saturday before the holiday weekend, my car's oil light kept coming on while I was driving around town. Stopped to check, and it said my engine had no oil in it. There was no way that could be the case - it was probably just because I checked the oil right after having the car running - so I put in a quart of oil, just to be safe, and thought I'd be fine. Later that day, my oil light came back on. In the course of about six hours, all of the oil I had just put in was already gone.
Next morning, I wanted to go get a Wii, so I borrowed my mother's car, and had my car parked in the street out in front of her house. A few hours later, to my surprise, I saw this new addition to my poor Neon:
So, once again, my car was hit by somebody, and I have no idea who.
Finding the problem of the oil leak, and getting if fixed, ended up taking almost a week. Ended up costing me $450, which is a lot less than I was worried it would cost, so hey. Unbeknownst to me, however, they gave me my car back with no automatic steering fluid in the car. Had I driven it even a mile before finding this out, I could have totally ruined my car.
That's why I loved living in Japan, riding a train, and not having to worry about owning a car.
Got my Wii, which is awesome. Only have Wii Sports for it so far, but I'm really enjoying it, and forsee the console becoming just as popular as the DS is now. (Hell, the console has already sold 1 million units US + Japan.) There are a few aspects of the Wii where I wish Nintendo had a bit more vision, but I'm happy with it for the most part. It's pretty funny, because I think about it, and my thought is, "The Wii will be cool, so long as they can actually keep releasing interesting games for it." Of course, people thought the same about the DS, and look how well that's turned out.
